Bayard Conservation Area

This is an area that is very important because of it's proximity to the river and metro area. The communities of pine flatwoods and sandhill on the eastern side of the property protect the river in a seven mile area. The property has two area 1 campsites that are great because of their location in the northern section. Both of them are some kind of special spot. It is hidden back in the forest and has an ephemeral stream to the east of the camp site. It is possible to travel to the campsite from the river, and there are excellent views of cypress trees from the banks. The trail leading to the campsite can be wet at certain times of the year.
