About

Bailey’s on Palomar is an authentically rustic property with a long history of hospitality stretching back to 1888. Our Historic Dancehall, the venue of choice for many of our bridal couples, was built nearly 100 years ago and once hosted the small mountaintop neighborhood of Palomar Mountain. Lively get-togethers with music, dancing, food, and drinks were common. The old soda fountain is still here! The first Palomar Mountain U.S. Post Office and General Store, originally run by the Bailey Family, are completely intact and filled with antiques and mountain artifacts. The last Baileys to work the property retired in 2018 and passed the torch to a new family. Our family. Appreciating the legacy and sense of history, we are working hard to restore the old and bring in the new. Our dearest wish is to create a special mountain experience for all who wish to share in the magic of Palomar. Share the next exciting chapter of this fascinating historic property with us. Come on up – we’d love to host you! **Acres & Acres of Mountain Awesomeness!** Stay in your choice of mountaintop accommodations at Bailey’s on Palomar!
