About
The majority of campgrounds on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests are primitive. You can camp outside of the recreational areas on the forest for free. Potable water, toilets, and other amenities are not usually available. If you choose to camp outside, be sure to bring adequate water or be prepared to purify any water source before drinking. Remember, if you pack it in, then pack it out, don't leave your trash out. There are no permits required to camp in the wilderness.
