West Point Lake extends 35 miles along the Chattahoochee River, just north of West Point, Georgia. The lake has a shoreline of more than 500 miles. Surrounded by forests and fields on the Alabama-Georgia state line, West Point Lake provides excellent fishing, camping, and other recreational opportunities. The Amity Campground offers 96 sites, 93 with electric and water hookups. Additional amenities include a dump station, laundry facilities, hot showers, a boat ramp, basketball and tennis court, a playground, and trails. Open spring through fall from Thursday through Sunday, including Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. Campground gates open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-out is at 3 p.m. There is a 14-day maximum stay.
