The Watchman Peak Trail [CLOSED]

This trail may close occasionally in July. Please check with the park before you visit. The Watchman Peak Trail in the Crater Lake National Park is a moderately steep out and back climb that gives a panoramic view of the lake. The Watchman Peak Trail starts from the Watchman Overlook pullout, 3.7 miles north and west of Rim Village on West Rim Drive, and goes up to the Watchman fire tower, which overlooks Crater Lake. The key vantage point offers spectacular views of the lake and Wizard Island. Night hikes with a Ranger are available.
