Prairie Spirit Rail Trail

The Prairie spirit trail is a multi use trail that passes through rural Kansas. From the north or south at Iola, Kansas. There are more than one trail head in between the two cities. The 52 mile multi-purpose path is a twelve foot wide surface that makes it an excellent surface for walking and wheelchairs. The trail is made of a former railway bed and it's ideal for maintaining steady speeds on long rides. The trail goes over several bridges, and over a river. The picnic areas and rest areas are located in the communities that are along the trail.
