About This Trail
This is a quick loop around Lake Placid. The park was named for the Black Hoof Indians who once lived in West Tennessee and North Mississippi. The 1,600 acres of land in West Tennessee were once part of a New Deal-era state park. In 1955 the territory became a state park with the park and land being given to the state. This is a quote about the park, which is on high terrain in West Tennessee. More than 15000 acres of timberland in the area can be used for recreation. According to paraphrase, there's a wide range of activities in the park including hiking trails and a bicycle friendly route. Guests can hire the rowboats and pedal boats on Lake Placid.
