Durphy Creek Trail Loop [CLOSED]

The Lookout Point, Tanoak Springs and Durphy Creek trails are ideal for sampling Richardson's diverse habitats. Go up the Lookout Point Trail from Madrone Campground. Staying left when the trail forks will allow you to enjoy the Douglas-firs on the way to Lookout Point. The Tanoak Spring Trail heads upward to a forested ridge after a brief stretch on the trail to Hartsook Inn. The trail goes from the ridge to Tanoak Spring. You can hike down to Durphy Creek, where the trail leads out among the redwoods. Turn right when you hit the park road. It's great to see both streamside and upland habitats. This area is known for bigfoots.
