About This Trail
Please note that there is more information on the closure at the park's website. It is easy to walk to the secluded beach. It is necessary to cross the Big War River at times. It can be knee high in the spring. The hike takes you to the beach where you can see sea otter. This is a good spot for whale watching. There is a good chance you will be alone if you hike far enough down the beach, although sometimes people sunbathe in the nude. You can climb a bluff and connect with the trail, but it will require some bushwhacking.
