Spring Mountains west of Las Vegas including Mount Charleston at 11,918 feet — the highest point in southern Nevada. Steep limestone range with bristlecone pine near timberline, mixed conifer and aspen at mid-elevations, and the Mount Charleston Wilderness as the central core on Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest land within the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area.
