Canyon Campground—elevation 7,900 feet (2408 m)—lies in a lodgepole pine forest at Canyon Village, south of the Washburn range and near the breath-taking Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. Canyon Village offers stores, restaurants, and lodging. Nearby hikes include Cascade Lake, Mount Washburn, and the Canyon Rim trails. ADA Access: Three accessible sites in Loop L, with an extended picnic table and a raised fire grate. Accessible restrooms are located near the accessible sites. (The camper services building is not accessible.) The Canyon Campground has over 270 individual sites but no group sites. Sites range from partly shady to more sunny. RV, tent and combination RV/tent sites are available. Sites for hikers and cyclists are also available. All campsites have a picnic table and fire grate. Water is accessible nearby the sites. Campground facilities include: There are no electricity, water, or sewer hook ups at any of the campsites. 15 public restrooms with flush toilets and faucets with cold running water. Dishwashing stations are located at most restroom buildings. Pay showers* and laundry facilities located in Canyon Campground Camper Services. Personal portable showers are permitted at your campsite only if the wastewater is collected and disposed of properly.
