About This Trail

There is a large lake in the Wild Basin. There is a trail head at the Wild Basin. After 1.5 miles, you can either travel left to Ouzel Falls or right to the camping trail. It's along the border that there are many campsites. Horses aren't allowed on this section of the trail. You can reach the junction with the Wild Basin Trail via an occasionally steep ascent. A gradual uphill climb on the well-maintained Thunder Lake Trail will get you to the lake. The Continental Divide, Boulder- Grand Pass, Tanima Peak, and Pilot Mountain are some of the views that you will be rewarded with. You will need to pay an entrance fee or sign up for a park pass.
