About This Trail
The half-mile walk around the lake is easy. It is necessary to sit on benches and watch a fisherman catch fish. It has a great view of the peaks and the Continental Divide at the far end of the lake. They built bridges on the western side of the lake so you could get back to the parking lot. It is said that the lake was part of a resort that was owned by an expert guides and hosts. The far end was the site of better fishing before the National Park was established.
