About This Trail

The Oneonta Falls are closed indefinitely due to the Eagle Creek Fire. Please check the link for the latest news. The Oneonta Gorge is a scenic hiking destination and botanical area in the Columbia River Gorge area. You should be prepared to navigate through logs, climb through rocks and wade in the water as you follow Oneonta Creek through the gorge. The views at the end are amazing, and the hike is worth it. The variety of plants will appeal to ecology enthusiasts. The gorge has four main waterfalls. The trail is accessed in Oneonta by the Historic Columbia River Highway.
