Knothead Valley Loop [CLOSED]

A Discover Pass is needed for this trail and costs $30 a year. The views from the saddle are the best for looking west. The hike is really nice and there is a variety in the landscape. You can see wild yellow irises when the trail is near the river. Excellent photo opportunity. It's a trail which leads to a road, but there is a small bit of climbing over rocks in the beginning. It is easy to follow the trail because of the clear sign. You can get a great view of the river around the third mile. If you go a bit further and look at the view from off the trail, you will get an even better view. It is important to watch out for mosquitoes.
