Gasparilla Island-Boca Grande Trail [CLOSED]

The paved trail goes the length of the island. The barrier island has a toll of $5. The trail runs the length of the island. The terrain is not flat. The center of town has a park like setting with shops and restaurants. The Boca Grande Lighthouse Museum is located at the southern end of the trail at the fee-restricted Gasparilla Island State Park. The railroad that was replaced brought phosphates from the mainland to the deepwater port on the southern tip of the island. There is a jogging trail on the north end. It's a good idea to be careful for golf carts that share the trail. Relating: Bring sunscreen!
